The entrepreneurial revolution observed worldwide since the 2000s has continued to thrive, thanks to the rapid advancement of technology. Every year, millions of people around the world embark on the entrepreneurial journey. Although it took a while, this trend quickly replicated in Africa, where hundreds of young individuals now choose entrepreneurship daily to benefit society.

While excited by this observation, it's impossible to ignore the evident challenges entrepreneurs and business leaders face. Over 50% of startups fail, primarily due to:

• Difficulty accessing information, opportunities, resources, and non-financial and financial services.


• Lack of synergy between entrepreneurs, business leaders, and institutional actors in promoting and supporting businesses.


• Absence of a conducive platform for expressing entrepreneurial challenges, sharing experiences, and resolving practical problems.


• Difficulty in developing a business network within a specific sector.


• Lack of tools tailored to the specific needs of entrepreneurs and business leaders.


• Challenges in finding reliable partners or mentors for business development.

The idea of building a platform that serves as an "All in One" solution to these problems became apparent. My team and I decided to take on the challenge, and from our determination to provide an adequate, reliable, and secure solution, TheStarterbook was born.

Today, we take pride in the journey we've traveled as we witness hundreds of entrepreneurs and business leaders joining our community to expand their business networks and thrive.

This year marks a significant turning point in the strategic direction of our platform as we broaden our scope. Initially focused on Africa, our vision is now global. Our overarching mission is to Connect and Propel Entrepreneurs Worldwide. As part of this mission, our goals include:

• Bringing together entrepreneurs, business leaders, and institutional actors in entrepreneurship to form synergies.


• Facilitating access to information, training, opportunities, resources, and non-financial and financial services.


• Providing entrepreneurs and business leaders with effective tools for business promotion, product and service distribution in B2B.


• Establishing a multi-sectoral and multi-territorial matchmaking network and offering members opportunities to generate and develop their businesses in a supportive and friendly environment.


• Promoting the entrepreneurial spirit and contributing to the emergence of entrepreneurial communities worldwide.

We are aware of the challenges we face in this expanded vision, but we are deeply convinced that as a community, there is no challenge we cannot overcome.

I take this opportunity on our anniversary to announce the recent major updates to our platform. Our efforts are focused on developing tools that facilitate networking and productive exchanges among members, tools dedicated to promoting startups and businesses, to effective product and service sales, to learning, and to discovering opportunities. In this regard, here are some operational updates on TheStarterbook:

• Fundraising: Users can now easily create fundraisers for their startups or other causes directly on the Platform.


• Common Factors: Affinities are an essential part of the business world, and even minor details can be significant. Users can now discover other members with whom they share common elements.


• Pro Users: We have implemented a premium subscription system that now allows users who subscribe to benefit from better visibility for their business on the platform and other privileges.


• Targeted Advertising: TheStarterbook is joining the game! As is common on most well-known social networks today, we now provide users with advertising tools allowing them to significantly increase the reach of their publications.


• StartCoins: This is a virtual currency set up on the platform that primarily rewards users for constructive actions and interactions (creating an article, relevant comments, etc.). The StartCoins earned go directly into the user's wallet, which they can use as they see fit, such as subscribing to a PRO subscription and enjoying all its benefits.


• Money Transfer: Think entrepreneurs or business leaders, think money and financial transactions. Each user has a wallet on the Platform, which they can recharge via Mobile Money or directly through their credit card. Once the money is in the account, they can now transfer funds free of charge to any other user on the platform.

Many other features are currently in development, and those already present are constantly being revised for realignment and improvement. We always rely on the suggestions and feedback of all to make the platform even more reliable, secure, and above all, more useful to its members.
