Description

Pulsing Aura has landed in Pokémon TCG Pocket, and it's already made Fighting decks feel like a real threat again. If you've been saving packs, checking your collection, or planning which Pokemon TCG Pocket Items are worth chasing next, this set gives you plenty to think about. The early talk is all about big damage, faster pressure, and whether Psychic decks can keep the new Fighting builds under control.

Mega Lucario ex changes the pace
Mega Lucario ex is the card most players are eyeing first, and it's easy to see why. It evolves from Riolu, comes in with 190 HP, and doesn't need a clunky setup to start hitting hard. Fighting Pulse does 90 damage for two Fighting Energy, which is fine on its own. Add one more Energy, though, and it jumps to 140. That's the number that matters. It means Lucario can start forcing awkward choices before your opponent has fully settled in. The downside is real, of course. Psychic weakness hurts, and giving up 3 points when it goes down can swing a match fast.

The new support cards make the numbers scary
Korrina is the card that turns Lucario from strong into a problem. The extra 30 damage against opposing EX Pokémon matters in nearly every serious match right now. Arena of Antiquity adds another 20, and suddenly your powered-up Mega Lucario ex is reaching 190 before other modifiers or board pressure come into play. In the right spot, that's enough to delete a lot of EX attackers. Don't rush the Stadium, though. A lot of players make that mistake. If you drop it too early, your opponent may simply replace it. Holding it for the attack turn feels much better, even if it's a little nerve-racking.

Collectors have something to grind too
The Gold Frame system is a neat addition for anyone who keeps pulling the same card and wondering what to do with the extras. Once you own 10 copies of a card, the Gold Frame unlocks for that card. It also checks your old collection, so plenty of long-time players will probably log in and see a few rewards waiting. If you'd rather not wait, duplicates can be used through the menu to craft frames yourself. It's not going to win matches, but it gives duplicate pulls a bit more value, which the game badly needed.

Building for the current ladder
Right now, the safest Lucario lists want early chip damage and a clean bench setup. Hitmontop has been a handy choice because it can put pressure on before Riolu is ready to evolve. You don't want to sit there doing nothing while Mega Gardevoir ex or other Psychic decks build their board. That matchup can turn ugly in a hurry. Spend your Energy carefully, time Korrina properly, and don't waste Arena of Antiquity unless the knockout is there. Players who like topping up game currency or grabbing useful items often check RSVSR while preparing for new sets, but on the ladder itself, the wins still come down to timing, patience, and knowing when Lucario is ready to punch through.
