Further silence from Jagex regarding the issue continues to disappoint users, leading many to end their memberships, further harming the game. We hope Jagex will provide an explanation in the next few weeks. We also hope that Jagex will consider the anger of the community into consideration when reevaluating the change.

We are pleased with Jagex and RuneScape's continued success. However, Sal's community is asking: Should we support Jagex implementing micro-transactions which they would consider unethical if implemented only a few short years ago? It's not possible. It is possible to purchase enough spins to upgrade the skill to 99. However, this is still costly.

Jagex pushes the Squeal Wheel with such aggression when you sign in. Jagex also prominently displays the option of paying real-world cash to buy more spins. This is a disappointment. It's almost a sigh of horror to see Jagex taking such drastic steps from the original stances of this company.
