Games set like boundless where you can get prizes to the wins but capped to a specific quantity of Ws/Ls. Easy, interactive way to gain more VC/MT but may cost a while to begin so that it's not an endless supply of currency (which is why I think contracts and injuries are a thing atm). Edited frequently throughout the year so the pool involves the newer better cards; base cards become diamonds in the year's end. I understand they had a draft before that was not upgraded and so not played thus removed from NBA 2K21 but I feel like if it is handled and used correctly, it'd be a big hit.

I agree a draft style could be cool, however they would half ass it and make it horrible and go"see look, nobody plays it, we're taking it out". I actually played it a ton cause it was the only real way without going against god squads to play games. I enjoyed it a lot frankly. That year, Bundle and Playoffs felt like one of the very balanced modes in the sport. The frustration is got by me, but by no means would any company spend that kind of money on a mode to sabotage themselves.

By no way would any company add position locks only release the card at unique positions. It costs nothing to come out with a brand new card. It costs a lot of cash to program a whole new game style with are assets. No gaming company will spend that type of mo ey to intentionally sabotage that mode. The money they get from releasing 5 times to exactly the giannis, they could use it to give us a draft mode lol, it's not like it'll cost them billions to add 1 game style.

They just put a 5 man draft, didn't update it at all and then moved and took it out the calendar year. They half ass stuff and when folks don't play with it they simply remove it, if people like it they will also remove it and deliver it back 3 years later and call it a new manner. I understand what you are saying, my point is just that they would not invest that much money creating a mode to not be utilized, but why they get rid of it for sure is because people weren't enjoying it. The error goes both ways.
