Which barrows should i get torags or guthans? Both are reasonably priced for me. Additionally, since I'm planning on one of the barrows sets, should I put aside my plans for a fighter torso? What do i do with my dragon platelegs as well as rune platebody?
If you are looking for a barrows set, I'd suggest Veracs. The skirt and helm give the highest defense for their places (of the barrows armours) and the brassard is slightly weaker than Guthan's, Torag's and Dharok's plates. Yet, Verac's gives a decent prayer advantage (unlike other armours for barrows) and is an excellent set of special.
You're aware that there's already Dragon Legs and you're aiming to build a fighter's torso, which is why what I'd like you to do is keep them as your primary armour, but have Guthan's set for use with its special attack to heal.
The main armor set will not degrade as well as offensively friendly (torso provides strength bonus unlike barrows). Keep in mind that aside from Dharok's and Verac's in certain circumstances, all other Barrows Sets (including those with weapons) are not useful.
So , the three best options for you in my opinion the skirt of Verac, or Dragon Legs with Fighter torso and Abyssal Whip/Dragon Defender (you may also get a Guthan's set that heals you , in addition to this). Torag's Legs and Plate together with Whip and Defender. This provides high defense but in most circumstances it's not necessary since you won't be hit very often. This set includes Verac's Brassard and Skirt along with whip. The complete set can be utilized for specific activities, such as Kalphite queen and barrows and PvP.
It's all about a collective effort. It is possible to be a superb keyer but without a equally competent team, it's not worth anything. You could play like 5:5 bigs, but you need at least three good players, including you. This could be someone who has that has quit rage or is in a state of being leeching or not doing much.
I believe having certain things can be very helpful. This includes those Shadow Silk Hooded. This is not only for you but for your entire team. Because just 1 person not being able to do it can slow down a dungeon if you're trying to do like an elevator room, however the Skeletons continue to attack the Non Hooded one.
I'd recommend also working on your stats. In addition to combat, you should improve your capabilities as well. It is because time is wasted when a keyer walks into an entrance and discovers that you need to prune vines but don't have the level required so you'll have to call someone to come do this door. Sometimes, they don't have the knife. So that saves time too. In the fight part of the equation. I mean mostly for Strength/Defence. Only Strength is needed for the force bar doors or any other rooms that require the same skill. After that, you'll need Defence to have better armor/tanks for more monsters.
