La description

This was not mentioned in any updates or announcements so I decided to post it for all to talk about. Dear RuneScape Community. I would like to take just a couple of minutes of your time to address the very emotive issue that we are facing as an entire community: bots.

When we came to Free Trade and the Wilderness to our rescue, we said that we would integrate it with programs that will stop the inevitable botting. We have launched a variety of programs to accomplish this over the past couple of months. Some of which we've already mentioned to you, while others because we don't want to inform bot makers and gold farmers of our measures.

We face the challenge of having to deal with a problem that is still very vast and, most of all, adversely affecting parts of our game, despite all our efforts and good intentions. We'll continue to battle bots at every level. We are trying to be more transparent and transparent about a few measures and initiatives that we have announced or are soon to be releasing.

We recently upgraded our internal systems to be able to detect spam in the chat window and instantly mute the offender preventing the constant flow of communication from the gold farmers which are impacting the game experience. We are grateful for your feedback! Continuing our ongoing legal cases against bot developers.
The requirement for email validation on new accounts will add extra account security and impair the mass account creation which gold farmers make use of.
