EA Sports announced Thursday that Brady and Mahomes will share the Madden NFL 22 cover. This announcement comes just an entire year after their fight on the biggest stage of the game.

EA Sports teased the pairing via a video that was posted on Monday, featuring former Browns running back Madden NFL cover athlete Peyton Hillis and two goats. Hillis appears to be taking a knee in front of the goats and talking over the phone with an unknown person, saying "they have done it again."

EA Sports did something new that was never done before with two different console generations. It's been a decade since Hillis was featured on the cover of the Madden NFL series' annual entry, and it's been longer than that since the game had an athlete cover with two athletes.

Madden hasn't seen two sportsmen share the space on the game's cover since Madden NFL 10. This was the year that Steelers safety Troy Polumalu and Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald appeared on the front. They looked as if they were colliding.
