La description

I'm not exactly certain when the event is working as intended. At the moment, Stormwind is completely overrun with ghouls that are rampaging through the streets and slaughtering everything that moves. The auction house, vendors, and even the lender are all unusable--which might be frustrating for players that, when the event is really live, are only trying to go about their day to day business.

Over on the WoW subreddit, players also have found ways to bring the zombie infestation out of capital cities, making entire areas of Azeroth uninhabitable.

Fortunately, WoW game developer Jeremy Feasel confirmed the zombie invasion portion of the event will only be active for a couple of hours throughout the day instead of all the time. I am actually a little disappointed by that, honestly, because I think it would be interesting to see an all-out, 24/7 invasion which players need to attempt to contain--something similar to World of Warcraft's infamous Corrupted Blood event.

The Scourge Invasion is only 1 part of Shadowlands' pre-launch event. Players can also venture to the arctic wastes of Northrend to fight bosses and make powerful loot, and there's also a new story quest to test out.

Otherwise, you can wait until the event necessarily starts sometime in the forthcoming months. But now that it's about the PTR, it'll likely be occurring sooner rather than later

Since publishing our first story, YouTuber and Reddit consumer'KokushiGG' has recently posted a brand new video showing off Ray Traced Shadows in the zones in the growth. You'll discover down the video below. As with yesterday's screenshots, we may see the gap in Shadows is rather minimal with all the new feature enabled. Allowing Ray Traced Shadows, however, will seem to greatly affect performance with FPS dropping from 120FPS into 60FPS in some cases.

Ray Traced Shadows within World of Warcraft Shadowlands have been allowed on the match's Beta/PTR, and also the very first comparison shots have now surfaced on the internet.

Back in April of this year, Blizzard additional Ray Traced Shadow options to the game's Alpha. Unfortunately, real Ray Traced Shadows weren't allowed just yet and people from the Alpha were only able to view the new options. According to the option's description, it"improves shadow quality together with beam design, which generates shadows with more natural softness, greatly improved precision, and out of other light sources"
