Also, the hardcore players will surely buy it twice only to have several islands. I bought ACNL twice (one physical, one digital) for that reason and I now have digital ACNH and'm considering picking up a physical copy just to get a fuck-around island.

I purchased it due to the hype. That is unpopular to saybut the game is so dull. Once you get your three of four key buildings done and a couple of island residents, all you do is collect materials and craft materials in a work bench. Or you may purchase items at the general store. Nonetheless, it's super repetitive and that I can not find a reason people are so crazed about it. Like I can not even spend a complete hour on the match at a time.

With that said, I truly do think it is an amazing game but I wouldn't have put so much time into it when I wasn't playing with friends and family. During the pandemic, we'd get on and enjoy each others company, Chat about what fish we obtained, any trendy things we had in the store, commerce and gift items to each other etc..
