La description

While serving his second stint, McLain had a work-release at which he was employed in a 7/11 at Detroit. He frequently was seen signing autographs outside the shop rather than working. After his release, McLain has been involved in several Detroit podcasts, radio shows, sports publications, and sports television shows. At 75 years old, Denny McLain has had quite the eventful life. I just think it's fascinating how much more of a story can be told than what's found on the back of a baseball card.

This dude's narrative has the makings to be a wild 30 for 30, possibly even Hollywood movie. There is a Crime in Sports episode on him. It's entitled"Murderers Are More Honest," which fits!

I only really knew McLain through Bob Gibson's bitterness towards him c. 68 and the associated absurd W-L record, I had no idea what a wild life that he led.Any life where smuggling a person being for six characters is that a mere footnote is a wild existence.Gibson was bitter about all the run support McLain got that he didn't, and the fact he never took batting practice and was an wonderful bunter. According to Bob's book. It's something where Gibson knew he'd have a better W-L record in the event the group scored runs.
